Patrick Francis An accomplished performer, composer, arranger and improviser. He received his Master of Music degree at San Francisco State and holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from Arizona State University, where he studied with renown pedagogue Frank Koonce. Patrick has also studied in masterclasses with Manuel Barrueco, David Leisner, Ricardo Cobo, and Hopkinson Smith.Patrick currently teaches privately and at the University of San Francisco. Actively involved in the San Francisco arts community, Patrick has numerous score, arrangement, and soundesign credits to his name, including original scores for dance, theater, and feature film. With an eye toward collaboration and performing exciting new works, Patrick considers the quartet an ideal medium for musical and artistic exploration.
