Chen Xi (Xi Chen)

Chen Xi was born in Tianjin in 1991. She started to learn classical guitar at 6 years old. In 2003, she entered the Middle School attached to the Tianjin Conservatory of Music, with the guidance of He Qing.

She has played recitals in many places, including the 2008 Moisycos International Guitar Festival, the 2008 Aisa International Guitar Festival and the 2009 Bangkok International Guitar Festival.

She has won the following competitions:

• 2006 the Competition of the 2nd China Guitar Cultural Festival 1st Prize
• 2007 the 7th Thailand International Guitar Competition 1st Prize
• 2007 the 3rd Singapore International Guitar Competition 1st Prize
• 2010 the Competition the 2nd Shenyang Guitar Festival 1st Prize
